Confronting the crisis in dementia care

The Lancet Neurology

Type: Report
Region: Republic of Ireland
Northern Ireland

Among the alarming statistics is an estimate that care for people with dementia costs more than US$148 billion per year in the USA alone. As governments around the globe reassess their finances in an effort to avert or at least limit the effects of financial meltdown, spending on care for people with dementia must not be neglected.
