Mouth Cancer on the Rise in Ireland

Dental Health Magazine

Type: News
Region: Republic of Ireland
Northern Ireland

A drastically growing number of both males and females are developing mouth cancer, and this alarms dentists from all over. Cancer of the mouth is an extremely dangerous disease, which kills at least 2 people every week. The main two risk factors involved in the development of the disease are the bad habits of smoking and drinking alcohol. However, the low awareness of the people also plays an important part, and this leads to the fact that mouth cancer is many times diagnosed at a very late stage.
