Funded workforce plans by the various HSE Divisions are required to be sent to the Department of Health by the end of March, to allow for Departmental sanction of the Executive’s 2016 Pay and Staff Numbers Strategy, IMT reports.

An HSE HR-hosted workshop held in Dr Steevens’ Hospital last month (February 25), addressed by Director General Tony O’Brien, National Director of Human Resources Rosarii Mannion, and Chief Financial Officer Stephen Mulvany was updated on where the 2016 Pay and Staff Numbers Strategy was at and reviewed performance in 2015.

“The critical nature of this strategy was emphasised and the need for funded workforce plans to deliver within pay envelopes in 2016,” the Executive stated.

The workshop also provided an opportunity to engage and get feedback from the more than 80 delegates, across the Divisions, hospital groups, Community Healthcare Organisations, the National Ambulance Service, and HR and Finance Directorates, among others, present, and build on shared learning.
