The article published in todays The Australian newspaper by Cameron Stewart on Gallipoli crowd figures is misleading and inaccurate. The Australian Government jointly announced with New Zealand following a comprehensive assessment that the maximum safe capacity for the Dawn Service at Gallipoli is 10,500 people. Providence Consulting Group (PCG) carried out a safe capacity assessment of the site and provided a report to the Governments of Turkey, New Zealand and Australia that determined the maximum safe capacity to be 10,500.
