In the article entitled "Diagnosis and Treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder During Adolescence in the Primary Care Setting: A Concise Review" by Brahmbhatt K, Hilty DM, Hah M, et al. J Adolesc Health 2016;59:135–143. DOI:10.1016/j.jadohealth.2016.03.025, which appeared in volume 59, in Table 2 (p. 140), the entry in the “Comments/tips” column for Daytrana (Methylphenidate) indicates that patches can be cut. The FDA label for Daytrana directs users not to cut patches, though in clinical practice, the patches are often cut.
