Background
An All-Ireland Evidence Based Practice Forum is to be established to support evidence based practice and policy across the island of Ireland. This was initiated when the EBP Group South East linked with HSE Health Intelligence, the Institute of Public Health in Ireland (IPH) and Health Research Board (HRB) to provide national leadership.
At an initial National EBP Forum, held on 8 April 2011, it was agreed to consult more widely on how best to support the development of evidence based practice. Click here to read the notes from that meeting as well as a summary of the feedback forms.
This is your opportunity to shape the development of the Forum
This web group contains a number of discussion forums designed to gather your opinion about a number of different issues:
- How to support the development of EBP Competencies required by individuals, health teams and organisations (click here to join this conversation)
- How to build an accessible directory of training courses and resources, and other online tools (click here to join this conversation)
- How to develop networks and communities of interest to support EBP (click here to join this conversation)

These discussion forums will run from October to the end with 2011. Your input will then be incorporated into a draft business plan for the Forum that will be presented for feedback in early 2012.
